DRIFT ID FOR ALCOHOL POLICY

Drift’s Alcohol & ID Policy

At Drift, we are committed to the responsible service of alcohol and full compliance with Connecticut state law. To maintain a safe, respectful, and legal environment for all our guests, we enforce the following alcohol and ID policy without exception.

Minimum Drinking Age

In accordance with Connecticut General Statutes § 30-86(b), no alcoholic beverages will be served to any individual under the age of 21. All guests who wish to consume alcohol must present valid identification upon request.

Accepted Identification

We require a valid, government-issued photo ID in hard copy form to verify legal drinking age. Acceptable forms of ID include:

  • State-issued driver’s licenses or identification cards (with photo)

  • U.S. or foreign passports (with photo)

  • U.S. military ID cards (with photo)

  • Federally recognized tribal ID cards (with photo)

All IDs must be:

  • Physical, original documentsno digital or scanned copies

  • Unexpired

  • Issued by a state or federal agency

  • Clearly displaying a photograph and date of birth

Unacceptable Forms of ID

We do not accept:

  • Photos of IDs on phones or devices

  • Photocopies or printed scans

  • Expired IDs

  • Parental or guardian consent or verbal verification

  • School IDs, birth certificates, credit cards, or other unofficial or secondary forms

Strict Zero-Tolerance Policy

We take our responsibility seriously. Due to a rise in attempts to use fake, altered, or digital copies of identification, we have enacted a zero-tolerance policy regarding underage drinking and improper ID use:

  • If you cannot present an acceptable physical photo ID, you will not be served alcohol.

  • No exceptions will be made, regardless of circumstance or who is accompanying you.

Right to Refuse Service

We reserve the right to refuse service to any guest at our sole discretion, including but not limited to cases involving:

  • Suspicion of false or altered identification

  • Belligerent or disruptive behavior

  • Guests who appear intoxicated

  • Any situation where we believe serving alcohol may be unsafe or unlawful

This policy exists to protect our guests, our staff, and our business. Thank you for respecting it and helping us maintain a safe and enjoyable atmosphere for everyone.
